About the course: During this 4-week course trainees will experience the process of translating for EU institutions and consolidate their knowledge.  The sessions are hands-on interactive meetings, with plenty of opportunities to boost your research skills and learn how to adjust to specific clients’ requirements and make adequate terminological decisions.

  • Translators who begin their career, look for their field of expertise and want to see whether the EU translation is a right match;
  • Translators of legal texts who want to expand or consolidate their knowledge about the EU

Trainers:

Barbara Dumara

Translator (EN-PL) specializing in EU, institutional and political translation for international and national institutional clients (such as the European Commission, European Parliament, CdT, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Ministry of Justice). A huge enthusiast of e‑learning and MOOCs, EU terminology, as well as translation and interpreting studies.

She has been closely cooperating with Iuridico Legal & Financial Translations for over a decade. When she is not translating, she is teaching translation and interpreting at the University of Warsaw (Institute of Applied Linguistics).

 

 

Tímea PALOTAI-TORZSÁS is a lawyer specializing in intellectual property matters, and a legal translator (EN-HU, FR-HU) with 8 years of experience as a freelance lawyer-linguist for the Court of Justice of the European Union. She has been involved in legal translation projects since the beginning of her professional activity as a lawyer.

She is the co-founder of the online application Juremy.com, which was launched in 2019 to support linguists’ EU terminology research workflow. She is passionate about legal and terminology research, legal language and translation productivity. She also holds a bachelor degree in international communication.

Polityka rezygnacji:

  1. Uczestnik mający status konsumenta lub przedsiębiorcy-konsumenta, który zawarł umowę o udział w warsztatach, szkoleniu lub kursie może od niej odstąpić bez podania przyczyn składając stosowne oświadczenie na piśmie w terminie 14 dni od dnia zawarcia umowy (przesłania formularza zgłoszeniowego). W takim przypadku, Uczestnik jest zwolniony z obowiązku zapłaty za warsztaty, szkolenie lub kurs, a uiszczona opłata podlega zwrotowi. Rezygnacja z udziału w warsztatach złożona w terminie późniejszym lub nieobecność zgłoszonej osoby na warsztatach, szkoleniu lub kursie nie zwalnia z obowiązku zapłaty całości ceny za warsztaty, szkolenie lub kurs. W przypadku, gdy warsztaty, szkolenie lub kurs – za zgodą uczestnika – rozpoczynają się przed upływem 14 dni od daty zawarcia umowy Uczestnikowi nie przysługuje prawo odstąpienia od umowy. Obowiązująca jest pisemna forma rezygnacji z udziału w warsztatach, szkoleniu lub kursie. W przypadku podjęcia decyzji o odstąpieniu od umowy należy dostarczyć osobiście lub przesłać stosowne oświadczenie pocztą lub e-mailem do Organizatora. Nie dokonanie wpłaty nie jest jednoznaczne z odstąpieniem od Umowy (rezygnacją z warsztatów, szkoleniu lub kursu).
  2. W przypadku odwołania warsztatów, szkoleniu lub kursu z przyczyn leżących po stronie Organizatora, uczestnikowi przysługuje prawo zwrotu 100% kosztów uczestnictwa.
  3. W przypadku odwołania warsztatów, szkolenia lub kursu z przyczyn niezależnych od Organizatora, które uniemożliwią przeprowadzenie warsztatów, uczestnikowi przysługuje prawo zwrotu 100% kosztów uczestnictwa.

Dokonując rejestracji na warsztaty, szkolenie lub kurs wyrażasz zgodę na przetwarzanie danych osobowych zgodnie z naszą POLITYKĄ PRYWATNOŚCI i na postanowienia REGULAMINU.
