We are delighted to invite you to the Translating Europe Workshops event on „Translation technologies in specialised and institutional translation: Room for collaboration across sectors” organized by the Translation Studies Department at the University of Gdansk, Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission (DGT), and IURIDICO Legal & Financial Translations.

The event will take place on 30-31st March 2023 at the University of Gdańsk.

During the event, we will examine the challenges and opportunities of translation technologies in the specialized and institutional translations, and explore the potential for collaboration across different sectors. These issues will be explored from various perspectives, including legal, technical, academic, and business viewpoints.

Our distinguished speakers will share their insights on various topics related to translation technologies, including institutional translation, the Polish Eurolect, audiovisual translation technology, and language resource coordination in the European Union. We will also discuss the future of translations from the perspective of copyright law.
